In this TWiP Talks interview I sit down with prolific YouTuber, Podcaster and Photographer Jared Polin aka FroKnowsPhoto. We discuss his new approach to teaching photographers how to navigate the mysterious world of creating professional quality videos using “regular” equipment.
We talk about some of the common misconceptions regarding shooting high-quality video, recording audio, and how some of the rules that apply to traditional still photography must be re-learned when it comes to motion.
As a lifelong photographer I know what it’s like to be frustrated by the quality of your videos. You’re dealing with the same concepts and settings — like shutter speed, ISO, and aperture — but the rules are completely different. When I first started shooting video I got frustrated pretty quickly when I couldn’t figure everything out, despite my years of photography experience.
