We discuss his new approach to teaching photographers how to navigate the mysterious world of creating professional quality videos using “regular” equipment.

We talk about some of the common misconceptions regarding shooting high-quality video, recording audio, and how some of the rules that apply to traditional still photography must be re-learned when it comes to motion.

As a lifelong photographer I know what it’s like to be frustrated by the quality of your videos. You’re dealing with the same concepts and settings — like shutter speed, ISO, and aperture — but the rules are completely different. When I first started shooting video I got frustrated pretty quickly when I couldn’t figure everything out, despite my years of photography experience.

FroKnowsPhoto Guide to DSLR VideoIn Jareds own words…

Searching for information only led to more questions, years of painfully slow learning and endless hours of experimentation that gave me so-so results for a LONG time…

After 4 years of creating over 1,700 YouTube videos and two full training guides I’ve gotten A LOT of questions about how I shoot, produce, direct, and edit my videos. In fact, so many of my readers requested more training on my DSLR video process that I decided to put together my most comprehensive guide yet…
I partnered up with my good friend and award winning filmmaker Todd Wolfe to create the most comprehensive system for learning DSLR video I’ve ever created: the FroKnowsPhoto Guide to DSLR Video.

  1. Frederick, I really can’t believe you have this clown on TWiP again, after he made such a big fool of himself on TWiP before!!! Do you really need him on for the SEO??? You really have so many nice guests and contributors on TWiP and it’s not fair that they are associated with him. I really love watching TWiP, but after seeing him the last time, I could never stand watching him again after he embarrassed you so badly. It bugs me so much, that I might stop watching altogether. It was disgusting! He really humiliated you and TWiP big time! ~Eddie
