TWiP Talks 11: Joining the Breed with Melissa Rodwell

We talk about where that name came from, and how she put the Breed project together. Breed is on the leading edge of on-line eduction for fashion photographers. We discuss her amazing background in photography, where things are today, and where they might go tomorrow.

About Melissa

After graduating from the Art Center College of Design Melissa Rodwell embarked on a globe-spanning career as a fashion photographer. She has lived and worked all over the world, photographing for Ralph Lauren, Nike, Coca Cola, Honda, NBC Television, and Dell Computers. Her editorial assignments have lead to her being published in Harpers Bazaar, L’Officiel, Glassbook, Spirit and Flesh, Kurv, Jimon, Flaunt, And Men, Genlux, and Playboy. Simultaneously, Melissa Rodwell has had numerous solo exhibitions in Amsterdam, Sydney, Los Angeles, and Miami.

In 2008 Rodwell started The Fashion Photography Blog. In a short time, her blog acquired a large following of subscribers and readers. Melissa left “The Blog” in 2013 to start Breed which is the largest educational website for emerging and aspiring fashion photographers. She teaches advanced fashion photography workshops with Breed twice a year.

Melissa Rodwell lives in New York City with her Pit Bull Mia.
