Your Itinerary 05: Camera Bag Talk with Peter Waisnor

PeterOn Your Itinerary last week I went through my camera bags and talked about how I packed for a recent trip to Costa Rica. This week is sort of a follow up to that episode. I caught up with Peter Waisnor after the Photo Plus Expo in October.

Peter is the vice president of Tenba and he's been in the camera bag business for over ten years. He is also the guy in all of those entertaining videos that Tenba has over on their YouTube channel. Peter and I discuss the past, present and future of the tools that photographers use to carry their tools.

As a camera bag user I can't imagine how difficult it must be to design bags and cases for photographers. It seems like everyone has a different idea of what the perfect bag is. Many folks are traveling lighter these days. Some are getting by with fewer lenses while others have made the switch to smaller mirrorless camera systems.

Most photographers are still carrying big cameras and big lenses, so how do the camera bag designers keep up? In this interesting conversation Peter talks about how his company sources new ideas and how they intend to provide carrying solutions for the photo industry as it evolves.

You can learn more about Peter's company at tenba.com, and check him out on Tenba's You Tube channel.
