Street Focus 40: Streets of the World ~ Kathmandu with Chris Marquardt

Chris Marquardt

This week I am taking to Kathmandu and your guide for this adventure is none other than the man behind Tips from the Top Floor, German photographer Chris Marquardt!

As a traveler, photographer and instructor, Chris Marquardt sees himself as a photographic mythbuster. Simplicity is as important in his photography as is leaving room for interpretation to the viewer. Chris is eager to learn new things and he explores both the digital as well as the analog world. His main outlet is Tips from the Top Floor, the weekly show about all things photography and his regular appearances on Leo Laporte’s Tech Guy radio show.

The day I picked up a camera I became a storyteller. I now live and breathe in pixels! After working as a commercial photographer for several years, I realized that my love for the craft could serve others. Sharing the passion is now where I focus all my energy through teaching international photo workshops, speaking at seminars, writing, blogging and now podcasting. I am also thrilled to be an X Photographer for Fujifilm USA. Although I photograph everything and anything that moves me, my passion for mankind drives me to shoot street photography every day. I thrive on searching the story in a single frame. Find my Street Photograph: First Steps and Beyond on my website!
