In this new Streets of the World segment of the show, I take you to Sydney, Australia and street photographer Michael Jolliffe is your guide for this new adventure!

Who is Michael? “Hi, this is Mike! I photograph my personal world and the streets of Sydney, Australia. A little while after I started out in digital photography I found myself picking up film cameras at local second hand markets. Curious about film and keen to improve my skills with manual camera control, I was soon sucked in to a world of black and white film photography. I hand develop my own black and white films in the laundry and then scan the film for a hybrid analogue / digital workflow.”

Visit Michael's website and follow him on Instagram.

Locations mentioned on the show:

Central Station, Town Hall, China Town, Hyde Park, Royal Botanical Gardens, Circular Quay, Kings Cross, Luna Park, Bondi Beach, Newtown, Cockatoo Island.

  1. Interesting Discussion. I have been there 12 yrays ago then I was DSLR user so with Nikon. I had good times.

  2. I would love to go Sidney but wasn’t this supposed to be about photography? 😀

    1. If you were familiar with the podcast, you’d know that there is a monthly segment about exploring the streets of different cities for street photographers who may visit or have a long layover in those cities 🙂
