Chris teaches online courses with Lynda.com, is on the photography faculty at the Brooks Institute. and is part of the Xrite Colorratti team. As a teacher he subscribes to W.B. Yeats' idea that, “Education isn't about filing a pail, but igniting a fire.” His expertise in photography and digital imaging has enabled him to speak at conferences around the globe.
Chris has authored five best-selling books that have been translated into over a dozen languages including his most recent projects, Visual Poetry: A Creative Guide for Making Engaging Digital Photographs (New Riders/Voices That Matter) and People Pictures: 30 Exercises for Creating Authentic Photographs (Peachpit Press). His books provide a thoughtful, and thought provoking, approach to capturing better photographs.
