In this episode of TheFIX, landscape photographer and workshop leader David Marx returns to TheFIX for a conversation on night photography with host Seán Duggan. In Episode 024 that was published earlier in the summer, David shared a wealth of information of photographing the night sky and star fields. In his return visit, the focus in on shooting star trails and creating images with concentric circles of stars, as well as processing techniques for using layer stacks in Photoshop to create star trails from a series of many images. Seán Duggan shares several night images and deconstructs how they were processed in Photoshop using layer masks to blend multiple shots.
