Here is one of the major reasons for Vogue has changed its policy https://trailers.apple.com/trailers/independent/girlmodel/. My personal guess there is more heat on about child abuse so that is a major reason. Also the times are changing. 20 years ago the average female model age was 18.
Today with all fitness models i have a feeling you are looking at age 23 or older. A while back I had a friend who asked me about their teen getting into modeling. I gave an honest answer. The modeling industry especially the fashion industry is one of the most unhealthy jobs out there.
You are talking about teens being paid large amount of cash to teens to look sexy for an older audience. Add a very unhealthy body image and making girls look older than they are. On top of that these teens are going out of their way to please their employers to gain fame and fortune.
Vogue, why make the announcement. Well, marketing why else. During the discussion I kept hearing why. Well, that is simple” “As reported on TWIP.” “Photographers react to Vogue’s new weight and age policy” and I know I could go on. For Vogue I wish to thank you for helping with their marketing efforts. The fact is it is cheap to market and to keep their business “Top of Mind” with the Vogue advertisers.
Sue Bryce, Chase Jarvis, Zack Arias, Sandy Puc, and Bambi Cantrell all from Creative Live have been my inspiration and their trueness are the must haves.
To clarify the iphone camera sensor: iPhone4 has 5Mpix sensor and iPhone4S has a 8Mpix sensor !
